We are talking about the TV show, The real theory is a little bit older, and maybe not that funny.

Two nerds living in front of an attractive young woman is the main plot of this TV show. Perhaps it is a too simple summary for one of the best series that can be seen today. Much has happened in these more than 200 episodes.

On this post, we’d like to tell you some things you might not know about the actors who play the main character in The Big Bang Theory: Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Raj, Howard, Bernadette and Amy.

Kaley Cuoco

The actress was born in Camarillo, California. She plays Penny, the neighbour of Sheldon and Leonard. When she was 7 years old she started working in the world of advertising. He took part in several series and films before getting this role, such as Prison Break and Charmed.

Kaley is a vegetarian and a lover of sports. She plays tennis and practice yoga and horse riding. She loves animals and is an advocate of her rights. In the series he has met two of his best friends Melissa Rauch, and Mayim Bialik, Bernadette and Amy respectively. She was sentimentally linked to Johnny Galecky for a few years… Don’t you know who he is? We’ll tell you more about him later.

Melissa Rauch

Her full name is Melissa Ivy Rauch and plays Bernadette Rostenkowski, Howard’s wife. She was born in New Jersey and she has a BA in Fine Arts and Performance. Although in the series she plays a young Catholic, she has grown up in a Jewish family. He married Winston Rauch, his writing partner. Melissa has also done her bit with some scripts of short films and is also a great comic.

Let’s say her voice is not the nicest one… But in her defence we can say, that it is not her real voice.

Mayim Bialik

Amy in The Big Bang Theory. It is probably the most difficult character ever. She plays Sheldon’s girlfriend. Mayim has participated in many TV series and became famous for her main role in Blossom.

Graduated in Jewish and Hebrew studies, and Neuroscience, discipline in which she is also a Doctor. She was married for 10 years to Michael Stone and has two children, Miles Roosevelt and Frederick Heschel.

Kunal Nayyar

Maybe his name already tells you where he is from and the character he plays. Right, he is Raj. Born in London, he moved to India when he was 4 years old and them the US to go to college. He took some acting classes and wrote the play Cotton Candy, still played in some theatres in New Delhi.

Raj has some problems to find a girl, but in the real life he married Miss India 2006 winner, Neha Kapur. They live in Los Angeles.

Simon Helberg

Born in Los Angeles, Simon plays Howard Wollowitz. Actor, piano player, comedian… he took part in TV show such as Joey and MADtv. Like his character, he is also of Jewish origin. His fondness for the film Karate Kid led him to practice sports and is a black belt since he was 10 years old.

He is married to Sandy Helberg and has two children, Adeline and Wilder. He has directed the film We’ll never have Paris and last year he played the pianist who accompanies the worst opera singer, Florence Foster Jenkins in the film starring Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant.

Johnny Galecky

Here we go with this good guy. You have to be a good guy to cope with Sheldon. Born in Bree, Belgium, he has taken part in several TV shows before playing Leonard Hofstadter. He plays with Mayim Bialim in Blosson. Although they have made many jokes about his myopia, Johnny sees perfectly, the glasses he uses do not even have crystals 😉 And he shares the ability to play the cello with his character.

Jim Parsons

Although you may find it difficult to believe, he is not a fan, and he has never even seen a chapter, from Star Trek. His character has a certain obsession with the space saga. Yes it shares with Sheldon, the birthplace, both are natural of Texas.

Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Comedy in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014 and Golden Globe Awards in 2011. He has a degree in theater from the University of Houston and is not, luckily for him, like his character in The Big Bang Theory.

He is one of the highest paid actors on television and to memorize his character’s dialogues, rewrites the text on the computer, rehearses them, rewrites them … A little maniac, yes it is .. Right?

We love all of them, but who is your favourite?
