To say Morricone is to say movies, music, westerns, big productions, Hollywood, Oscars…It is not easy to describe one of the big guys in the movies industry. A man who has sold more than 70 million records in his career.

1964 For a fistul of dollars
Directed by Sergio Leone, this western was was the movie that launched the fame of Clint Eastwood. The American actor is a homeless gunman in a remake of Kurosawa’s movie, Yojimbo.
1966 The good, the bad and the ugly
Sergio Leone, Clint Eastwood and Ennio Morricone together again. Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach played along with Eastwood three bounty hunters in the American civil war. The three of them work together to get the loot.
1968 Once upon a time in the West
With a screenplay by Leone, Sergio Donati, Dario Argento and Bernardo Bertolucci, the film stars Claudia Cardinale, Charles Bronson and Henry Fonda. It is the story of a farmer who lives with his children and awaits the arrival of his future wife who travels from New Orleans. Arriving at the house in the middle of the desert of the American West finds that a gang of gunmen has killed everyone.
We travel to Italy in this Bertolucci movie. Gerard Depardieu, Robert de Niro, Stefania Sandrelli, Donald Sutherland, Burt Lancaster, are some of the stars of this historic movie about the Italy of the XX century.
1984 Once upon a time in America
Leone and Morricone together once again. Robert de Niro, James Woods and Joe Pesci in a history set in the beginnings of the XX century in Manhattan. A Jewish boy, and one of Hebrew origin, along with other friends form a band that become important members of the mafia in the times of the dry law.
1987 The mission
It is the best known work. It was nominated to the Best soundtrack. Robert de Niro, Jeremy Irons, Aidan Quinn, and Liam Neeson are directed by Roland Joffé. It is the story of a Jesuit missionary who creates the mission of San Carlos and together with a slave exporter they struggle, each in their own way, for the independence of the natives.
1987 The Untouchables
What a year!. Robert de Niro also takes part in this movie directed by Brian de Palma. Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, Andy Garcia work together in a team trying to enforce the law in Chicago during the 1930s, where gangsters such as Al Capone rule the city.
1988 Cinema Paradiso
It tells the story of Salvatore, a boy from a small Italian town where the only hobby is going to the movies. The boy believes that cinema is magic … And we all believe this part, right? Directed by Giuseppe Tornatore, and starring Philippe Noiret, has one of the most beautiful soundtracks in film history.
2000 The legend of 1900
Also directed by Tornatore, the main star is Tim Roth who plays a boy who lives in a ship and got a special talent to play piano.
2016 The Hateful Eight
Tarantino and Morricone in a film together. Ennio Morricone got the Oscar to the best Soundtrack, although the first one was given to his career in 2006.
